City of Bloomfield

The Bloomfield Volunteer Fire Department provides fire, Hazmat, and rescue services as well as community education to residents in their service area. The department also provides fire and rescue services to the Bloomfield Racetrack during the racing season.

The City of Bloomfield Police Department staffs four full-time officers, Chief Shawn Armstrong, and Patrolmen Jason Cole, Buddy Harsch. and Nathan Johnson. Wes Bales serves as a part-time officer. All of these men are ILEA certified except Nathan, who will attend the academy at a later time. A part-time office assistant, Ronda Curtis, rounds out the department.
