The City of Bloomfield’s water supply comes from Lake Fisher, located west of Bloomfield. The water plant, built in 1965, has the capacity to deliver 1,000,000 gallons of water to the tower daily. Bloomfield’s average daily consumption is 302,000 gallons per day.

A major renovation is being planned for the water plant in 2006. Bid-letting is planned for early spring with completion of the project by late fall.

The water plant has two full-time employees, Janice Liles and Brad Kincart. Janice holds a Grade II Water Certificate. Retired water superintendent, Joe Woolard, works on an as needed basis.
